16-time WWE Champion John Cena has declared that he will hang up his boots and draw the curtains on his career in wrestling entertainment in 2025.
During the ‘Money in the Bank’ event in Toronto, Canada on Sunday (July 7) John Cena made an unexpected appearance and announced his retirement. The 47-year-old WWE icon entered the ring holding a towel that read “The Last Time Is Now,” a slightly different version of his most well-known catchphrase. The message on his tee read “John Cena Farewell Tour.”
Yells of “No! No! No!” broke out from the Toronto audience as John Cena started to speak.
“I formally announce my retirement from WWE tonight,” said Cena. Later on, he explained that it would mean retiring in 2025 rather than right away.
According to Cena, he will participate in the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and Wrestlemania 41 at
