In a historic feat, young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal has etched his name in the annals of cricketing history by becoming the youngest Indian to score a century in T20 cricket. The talented left-handed batsman achieved this milestone during the Asian Games 2022 Quarter-Finals against Nepal at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou on Tuesday.

Yashasvi’s century came in just 48 balls. This inning of Yashasvi is special because the wicket on which he scored his century was not easy for batting. Wickets were falling from the other end but Yashasvi not only stood firm at one end but also continued batting aggressively. The result was that he completed his century in just 48 balls.

First Century in Asian Games 2022
This is Yashasvi’s first century in T20 and with this, he has created history. He has become the first centurion for India in the Asian Games 2022. At the same time, he is the first batsman from India to score a century in any multi-sport event. Apart from this, Yashasvi has become India’s youngest centurion in T20. He scored a century against Nepal at the age of 21 days and 279 days.
