He revealed that Wankhede holds a special place in his heart because it’s where his journey towards a successful international career began.

Furthermore, Rohit acknowledged the passionate cricket fans in Mumbai, referring to them as “true cricket fans.” The match against Sri Lanka held a special significance, as the last time these two teams met at the Wankhede Stadium was during the 2011 World Cup, where India lifted the trophy after 28 years, defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets.

Rohit played crucial roles in providing flying starts against Pakistan (86), Bangladesh (48), and New Zealand (46), setting the stage for India’s convincing victories in those matches.
