Mohammed Siraj retains number-one ODI bowler, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Muhammed Shami in top 10

In the ICC ODI bowling rankings, Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has reached the number one position. This remarkable achievement has come despite Siraj’s recent performances being relatively normal, with the exception of the last match against Sri Lanka. His senior teammates, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah, have been consistently putting on impressive performances in the World Cup, but it’s Mohammad Siraj who now leads the ICC ODI bowling rankings.

Mohammed Siraj tops bowlers table in ODI

Siraj’s top position in the ODI bowling rankings is well-deserved, and if he continues with the same form he showed in the recent World Cup match, he is likely to maintain his number-one ranking.

Mohammed Siraj tops with 709 points

As of the latest rankings, Mohammad Siraj holds the first position among ODI bowlers with 709 rating points. South African spinner Keshav Maharaj follows closely behind with 694 rating points. Siraj is the only Indian bowler with a rating points total exceeding 700.

Shaheen Afridi slips to fifth place

Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi, who previously held the top spot, has now slipped to fifth place in the rankings. His current rating points are 658. In addition to Siraj, India’s Kuldeep Yadav and Australia’s Adam Zampa rank higher than Shaheen in the new ODI rankings. There is only a one-point difference between Zampa and Kuldeep, with Zampa in third place with 662 rating points and Kuldeep in fourth place with 661 rating points. The competition among bowlers for rankings is intense.

India bowlers in ODI ranking

The good news for Team India is that five of its bowlers, including Siraj, are featured in the top 10 of the ICC ODI bowling rankings. Mohammad Siraj holds the number one position, Kuldeep Yadav is in fourth place, Jasprit Bumrah is eighth, and Mohammed Shami is ranked tenth.

India’s performance in WC 2023

This collective performance by the Indian bowling attack demonstrates their consistency and effectiveness in the 2023 World Cup. India’s bowling prowess is undoubtedly a key factor in the team’s success in the tournament.
