AIFF announces probables for India U-23 squad

The India U23 team are scheduled to play a couple of friendly matches against their Malaysia counterparts later this month

A list of 26 probables for the Indian U23 squad was announced by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Thursday, ahead of the tour of Malaysia.

In the forthcoming FIFA International window, the India U23 team and the Malaysia U23 team are slated to play two friendlies on March 22 and March 25.

Noel Wilson and Dipankar Choudhury have been chosen as assistant coaches and goalkeeping coaches, respectively, to help Naushad Moosa, the recently appointed assistant coach of NorthEast United FC, in leading the India U23 team.

Prior to the forthcoming tour, Moosa revealed a 26-man roster for their training camp. The 23-man final roster is expected to be revealed before to their departure for Malaysia on March 20, with the camp planned to start in New Delhi on March 15.

List of probables:

Goalkeepers: Arsh Anwer Shaikh, Prabhsukhan Singh Gill, Vishal Yadav

Defenders: Bikash Yumnam, Chingambam Shivaldo Singh, Hormipam Ruivah, Narender, Robin Yadav, Sandip Mandi

Midfielders: Abhishek Suryavanshi, Brison Fernandes, Mark Zothanpuia, Mohammed Aimen, Phijam Sanathoi Meetei, Thoiba Singh Moirangthem, Vibin Mohanan

Forwards: Abdul Rabeeh, Gurkirat Singh, Irfan Yadwad, Isak Vanlalruatfela, Khumanthem Ninthoinganba Meetei, Mohammed Sanan, Parthib Sundar Gogoi, Samir Murmu, Sivasakthi Narayanan, Vishnu Puthiya Valappill
