The Pakistan cricket team took part in a training session at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday ahead of their World Cup warm-up match against New Zealand on Friday. The Pakistan team, which arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening, left the Park Hyatt Hotel for the stadium around 8 a.m. and returned before lunch. Strict security measures were implemented during the team’s trip and at the stadium.
Huge security ahead of Ganesh immersion
The net practice was scheduled for the morning in view of the huge Ganesh immersion procession.
More than 20,000 policemen have been deployed as part of elaborate security for the immersion in and around Hyderabad.
In view of the Ganesh Visarjan and Milad-un-Nabi procession in the city on Sunday, the state police have requested the organizers not to allow spectators in the stadium for the practice match.

Pakistan’s match details
The Men in Green will play both the World Cup friendlies against New Zealand and Australia on September 29 and October 3 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Their World Cup campaign begins on October 6 at the same venue against the Netherlands.
Before going to Ahmedabad for the big match against India on October 14, Babar Azam-led team has to play two World Cup matches against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
The team led by Babar Azam has reached India via Dubai for the tour of India for the first time in seven years.
