Tragedy struck in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district on Sunday when a car collided with a truck, resulting in the deaths of six individuals and injuring three others. Among the deceased in the accident, two were women.
The accident occurred in the vicinity of Prasad College, within an area under the jurisdiction of the Gaura Badshah police circle, during the morning hours.
The injured individuals have been promptly admitted to the hospital, with reports indicating that all three are in critical condition. According to police statements, the car was in the process of making a U-turn when it was struck by a truck approaching from behind.

All the victims hailed from Sitamarhi district in Bihar and were returning from a wedding ceremony when the tragic accident occurred.
The police have dispatched the bodies for post-mortem examination. The deceased have been identified as Anish Sharma, Gajadhar Sharma, Jawahar Sharma, Gautam Sharma, Sonam, and Rinku. Among the injured are Jeetu Sharma, Meena Devi, and Yug Sharma.
Meanwhile, in an another accident in Jharkhand’s Ranchi district, a bus collided with a truck.
The collision caused both vehicles to crash into a flyover pillar, resulting in the confirmed deaths of two individuals, as reported by the police.
The accident occurred around 5 am when both the bus and the truck collided with a pillar of the Tupudana flyover, as stated by a senior officer.
As per reports, the bus was en route to Chaibasa from Ranchi at the time of the accident.
