West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reportedly suffered a serious accident at home on Thursday evening that left her forehead severely injured. The disturbing photos of Banerjee on a hospital bed, with blood on her face and a large cut visible in the middle of her forehead, were shared by the All India Trinamool Congress on social media on Thursday.

According to those familiar with the situation, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suffered a fall at home and was taken to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata for treatment.
Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee informed the media that Mamata Banerjee had to undergo four stitches in her forehead.
The West Bengal CM was released from hospital later in the evening. The Trinamool Congress supremo is currently recuperating at her home in the Kalighat area of Kolkata.

After returning from an event in Ballygunge, South Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee suffered a fall inside her Kalighat residence, according to her brother Kartik Banerjee, who spoke with a Bengali news channel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to express concern for Mamata Banerjee’s well-being and wished her a speedy recovery.
