Haryana Nuh Violence: Haryana witnessed a disturbing incident recently when violent clashes broke out after a group of young men halted the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra’ near Khedla Mod in Nuh district. The situation quickly escalated as stones were pelted at the procession, leading to a tense standoff between the two groups involved. The incident took 6 lives and left 20 personnel injured.
The VHP had organized the ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra’ as part of a religious procession, where devotees traditionally pour holy water over idols of Lord Krishna. However, tensions arose as the procession reached Khedla Mod, where a group of local youths decided to obstruct the Yatra’s passage through the area.

Eyewitnesses reported that heated arguments unfolded between the two groups, rapidly escalating into violence. Stones were hurled at the procession, creating chaos and fear among its participants. Recognizing the severity of the situation, local authorities were promptly informed, and police forces were deployed to the scene in an attempt to deescalate tensions. According to Haryana government 116 people have been arrested, 90 has been detained and 44 FIRs have been lodged and the incident took all total 6 lives and also the vehicles of police were destroyed and cars were set on fire.
It has been announced that all schools, colleges and educational institutions will remain closed and also the internet has been banned in Haryana till August 5. The Muslims have decided offer Namaz at home. Mufti Saleem Qasmi said that “I appeal to the people to offer namaz at home only. Only those people who live in a masjid can offer namaz in the masjid. No one else is allowed to enter it. May Allah protect our brotherhood.”
