Limo Green: VinFast electric MPV spotted testing in India, reveal impressive features

VinFast Electric Vehicle: Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is rapidly expanding its footprint in the Indian market.ย Earlier this year, VinFast began testing the new Limo Green 7-seater electric MPV after patenting its design. It has now been spotted testing on Indian roads.

Let’s learn more about the VinFast Limo Green 7s 7-seater electric MPV and what special features it will bring.

Limo Green spotted in India for the first time

The heavily camouflaged prototype bears a striking resemblance to the VinFast Limo Green, which was recently launched in Vietnam. The test mule features a tall and vertical stance, distinctive vertical tail lamps, and a large glasshouse. The alloy wheel design and tailgate profile are also similar to the model shown in the patent filing.

Battery and Driving Range

The VinFast Limo Green is expected to feature a 60.1 kWh battery, paired with an electric motor that produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. It is a front-wheel-drive setup and has a NEDC-certified range of approximately 450 kilometers. 10-70% fast charging takes just 30 minutes.

Limo Green Interior and Features

The Limo Green in Vietnam features a clean and minimalist cabin. It features a 10.1-inch infotainment display, leather-like upholstery, a 360-degree camera, and a floating center console. In India, the model will come with similar features, including three-row seating and a seven-passenger capacity.

If launched in India, the VinFast Limo Green would join a handful of electric 7-seater MPVs, such as the BYD eMAX 7 and Kia Carens Clavis EV. Its large size and features could make it an attractive option for both premium family buyers and flat operators.

Manufacturing in India

VinFast has launched its Toothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu, the company’s first manufacturing facility outside Vietnam. This plant will support both local production and exports, and the Limo Green could be one of its first models.

Its price in Vietnam is approximately VND 749 million (approximately โ‚น2.5 million), which includes a 7-year/1.6 million km warranty. If launched in India at a competitive price, it could become a strong option in the growing electric MPV segment. With local testing underway, the VinFast Limo Green is set to debut in India next year alongside its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs.
