A UFO whistleblower testified before Congress that the US government is harbouring alien spacecraft in secret.
According to a report by ABC, Major (retired) David Grusch, a former US Air Force intelligence officer, has claimed that the US government has been running a longstanding program that retrieves and reverse engineers unidentified flying objects.
Grusch, who has claimed that the US possessed spaceships of non-human origin used to head the analysis of unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAP), the military’s favoured term for UFOs, within the US Department of Defence.
“I am asking Congress to hold our government to this standard and thoroughly investigate these claims,” Grusch said in the hearing held by the House Oversight Committee’s national security subcommittee.
“But as I stand here under oath now I am speaking to the facts as I have been told,” he added.
Grusch claimed that the head of a US government task force on UAPs had asked him to identify all highly classified programs in 2019.
Responding to a query from Nancy Mace – a representative from the US state of South Carolina – Grusch said that US government agencies have recovered bodies from the crashed alien spacecraft which are non-human.
“As I’ve stated publicly already in my News Nation interview, biologics came with some of these recoveries… Non-human and that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to that are currently still on the program,” the former US Air Force intelligence officer said.
Additionally, Grusch claimed that because much of that information is confidential, he was unable to publicly say when the alleged programme started and who gave it the go-ahead.
To learn more, lawmakers expressed a wish to speak with Grusch and other officials in a private setting.
When asked who the committee should contact as witnesses at their upcoming hearing, Grusch responded that he could offer a “cooperative and hostile list of individuals in the government who you should talk to.”
The comments were made at a hearing that was convened by the national security subcommittee of the House Oversight Committee. The three witnesses are Ryan Graves, executive director of Americans for Safe Aerospace, David Fravor, a former commanding officer in the US Navy, and Grusch.
Lawmakers emphasised the demand for more information on UAPs. Unidentified flying objects have raised concerns about possible threats to national security.
The hearing is the most recent attempt to get the matter investigated on a national level by legislators, intelligence agents, and military personnel investigating inexplicable aerial occurrences.
According to ABC, the Pentagon stated last month that it had not discovered “any verifiable information to substantiate” the claims regarding alien spacecraft that had landed.
