While Head achieved the distinction of scoring the third-fastest century in the current World Cup edition, taking just 59 deliveries for his 109 runs, the seasoned opener notched up his 54th ODI half-century in a mere 28 balls.

With a total of 1405 runs to his name, Warner now ranks as the fourth-highest run-scorer in the tournament’s history. He sits behind legendary Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara (1532), fellow Australian great Ricky Ponting (1743), and the Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar (2278). Warner’s contribution to the match included a splendid 81 runs from 65 balls, adorned with five fours and six towering sixes, before being dismissed by New Zealand spinner Glenn Phillips.
