Mohammed Shami slams Raza on Instagram story

In response, Shami took to Instagram to slam Raza, asking him to focus on the game and not engage in baseless chatter. Shami also reminded Raza about the comments made by legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram and advised him to trust Akram’s perspective. He further emphasized that this is the ICC Cricket World Cup and not a local tournament.

On his Instagram story, Mohammed Shami wrote the following message in response to Hasan Raza’s controversial claim:

“Sharm karo yaar game par focus karo na ki faltu bakwas par kabi to dusre ki success ko enjoy kia karo, Chii yaar ICC World Cup hai apka local cricket tournament nahi hai or aap player hi the naa.”

Mohammed Shami gives Wasim Akram example

Wasim Akram had criticized Raza’s comments, calling them humiliating and unfounded. He explained the process of ball selection and challenged the notion that different balls were being used.

“Wasim bhai ne samjhaya hai, explain kia tha phir bhi. Apne player, apne Wasim Akram par yakin nahi apko apna tarif karne main lage hai janab aap to just like a wow,” Shami added.

Mohammed Shami’s performance in World Cup 

India has been in excellent form in the 2023 World Cup, with eight consecutive wins. Shami, in particular, has been a standout performer, taking 16 wickets in just four games.
