It is anticipated that Apple will introduce the iPhone 16 series of smartphones in the coming weeks, with four new models expected in the lineup. According to a tipster, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is the biggest phone in the series, would have the thinnest screen bezels of any smartphone on the market. Apple is reportedly using a new technique to reduce the bezels of its flagship iPhone model; the alleged size of the bezel has also leaked.
According to a tip from Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter), the forthcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max will have 1.15mm bezels. A computer-aided design (CAD) rendering of the flagship phone with thin bezels surrounding the screen is included in the article. In contrast, 1.71mm bezels around the display of the iPhone 15 Pro Max from the previous year.
If the bezels of the iPhone 16 Pro Max are 1.15mm, it will have a significant advantage over the Galaxy S24 flagship series and the newly released Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. Users are anticipated to have extra display area thanks to the incredibly thin bezels. Apple is rumored to be reducing the bezel at the bottom of its iPhone models through a process known as Border Reduction Structure (BRS).
In a another post, the tipster also included a picture of what appears to be a tempered glass display protector for the Pro Max model. But this picture doesn’t provide any information regarding the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s bezels.
One week has passed since leaked dummy units of the iPhone 16 Pro Max appeared online, and now there are new leaks pertaining to the device. A 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 4,676mAh battery with 20W MagSafe and 40W wired charging capabilities are anticipated features of the Pro Max version.
The rumored flagship A18 Pro chip from Apple is expected to power the Pro versions. On the other hand, the A18 Bionic processor, which is built on TSMC’s 3nm process, is expected to power the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
