Motorola planning big, may launch Motorola Edge 50 Pro in April

Motorola might soon introduce a new phone in India. The business has hinted to a national launch event, but it hasn’t provided any other information. There are rumors that the alleged Motorola Edge 50 Pro could be shown. But no formal announcement has been made about this model yet.

Notably, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) and Moto G 5G (2024) are the two new smartphones that Motorola recently released in the US. It is still unknown when these models would be released in India.

Motorola India announced the April 3 event, where we will “witness the fusion of art and intelligence,” in a press release with the subject line “Save the Date.” The location of the event is scheduled for New Delhi.

Although the note provided no further information, it is anticipated that a new phone will be released. “Further details and an official invitation” would be sent out soon, the business announced.

It is anticipated that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be launched in India soon. The company’s teaser puts the words “art” and “intelligence” in capital letters. It is reasonable to presume that the proposed device will have numerous artificial intelligence (AI)-powered functions.

Recently, Motorola hinted about the impending release of the Moto X50 Ultra in China under the moniker “AI Mobile Phone.” It is anticipated that the model — named the Motorola Edge 50 Pro — will go on sale outside of China.

Recently, information on the Motorola Edge 50 Pro — including its appearance and available colors — was leaked. The phone is anticipated to come in three color options: white, purple, and black. The white version will have a design resembling stones.

The variations were visible with imitation leather upholstery and three rear camera units. Notably, the phone’s lock screen displayed the date April 3 in the leaked renders. Thus, there were rumors that the model might be released that same day.

It is anticipated that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will debut in the US as the Motorola Edge+ (2024). It is reported to include a 50-megapixel triple back camera set, which is expected to comprise a 13mm wide-angle camera and a 73mm telephoto shooter with up to 6x magnification. It allegedly has a curved 6.7-inch display with a refresh rate of 165Hz.

The phone might be powered by a 12GB RAM-equipped Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It is anticipated to include a 4,500mAh battery that supports 50W wireless and 125W wired rapid charging.
