Leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and minister Atishi stated today that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had dropped 4.5 kg since his incarceration on March 21. He is OK, according to Tihar jail officials, and he hasn’t lost weight since being there two days ago.

Atishi claimed that Kejriwal is a “severe diabetic” in an early post on X.

Even God won’t forgive them if something were to happen to Arvind Kejriwal, not just the country, she said.

Arvind Kejriwal works tirelessly to serve the country despite his health concerns. Since his apprehension, he has lost 4.5 kg, which is quite concerning. The BJP is endangering his health, she claimed.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was placed in judicial custody until April 15 and then transferred to Tihar jail on Monday. He was detained by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case involving the now-cancelled liquor policy.

During his incarceration, Arvind Kejriwal will also be permitted to see his spouse, Sunita Kejriwal, and be permitted to use pillows and a comforter from home. As he suffers from diabetes and a weakened immune system, he will also be given medical devices to track his health.

Arvind Kejriwal is being held in Tihar jail, in a 14 by 8-foot cell. According to sources, his blood sugar level has been erratic over the past few days and once fell below 50. To lower his blood sugar, he has been prescribed medication. He has also been given a sugar sensor to check his blood sugar levels and toffees to prevent any unexpected drops, jail officials said.

Lunch and dinner are being served to the Chief Minister from scratch, and his health is being watched. According to jail officials, in case of an emergency, a swift response team has been stationed next to his cell.

Yesterday, the AAP leader met his lawyer in person and had a video conference with his wife Sunita.

After the Enforcement Directorate raised worries that his release may impede the investigation into the money laundering case, a Delhi judge remanded him in judicial custody. According to the central agency, Mr. Kejriwal is not participating in the inquiry.

Today is the hearing for the interim relief petition filed by the Chief Minister of Delhi.
