As per reports, the fourth Vande Bharat Express train, set to run from Khajuraho, will include stops at five stations within Madhya Pradesh: Khajuraho, Gwalior, Jhansi, Lalitpur, and Tikamgarh.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the refurbished Rani Kamalapati station, touted as India’s ‘most modern’ railway station, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Formerly known as Habibganj, the station underwent significant upgrades.
Notably, the Vande Bharat Express is a superfast express service operated by Indian Railways. It offers reserved, air-conditioned chair car service and connects cities that are less than 800 km (500 mi) apart or take less than ten hours to travel by existing services. The train was introduced into commercial service on February 15, 2019.
As of March 2024, a total of 41 Vande Bharat trains are currently operational, showcasing the progress and efficiency of the Indian Railways.
