Asia Cup 2023: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is not happy with Virat Kohli sharing his yo-yo test scores on social media. Most members of Team India, including the former skipper, underwent a fitness test to begin a six-day conditioning camp in Alur ahead of the Asia Cup, starting on August 30.
Virat Kohli uploaded a picture of himself on his Instagram story, which also mentioned his Yo-Yo test score. According to media reports, the BCCI has told the players not to share such information on social media and has warned that such acts will be treated as a breach of contract.
Sharing his shirtless photo on Instagram, Virat Kohli wrote the caption, “The happiness of finishing the yo-yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done.”

The players have reportedly been verbally informed to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures during training, but posting scores would be a breach of contract. On the instructions of BCCI, a complete physical examination of the selected members will be done soon.
What happened on first day of Team India’s special camp?
The passing mark for the Yo-Yo test in Team India has been set at 16.5 by the BCCI. Along with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya have also successfully passed the Yo-Yo test.
Team India will leave for Colombo on August 30 to begin their Asia Cup campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2.
The fitness camp is scheduled to run from August 9 to 22 and has been divided into two parts. A rest day was kept in between. The primary objective of the process is to get the players in better shape and avoid potential injuries that could derail India’s run at the events.
