India humiliated Pakistan 10-2 in their Pool A clash in the men’s hockey competition at the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou, China on Saturday.
Team India skipper Harmanpreet Singh led from the front with four goals. The other goals came from Mandeep Singh (8′), Sumit (30′), Varun Kumar (41′, 54′), Shamsher Singh (46′), and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay (49′). Muhammad Khan (38′) and Abdul Rana (45′) both scored Pakistan’s two consolation goals.
With four wins in as many games, the victory saw India cement their position at the top of Pool A standings.
