Boost for Pakistan Army with successful Shaheen-II missile test

The media affairs branch of the Pakistan military announced that the country has successfully launched practice launch of its Shaheen-II surface-to-surface ballistic missile on Tuesday.

“Pakistan today conducted successful training launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Shaheen-II. The training launch was aimed at training of troops, validating various technical parameters and performance evaluation of different sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The statement added that scientists and engineers from organizations in charge of strategic developments, along with senior commanders from Pakistan’s army strategic forces command and strategic planning division, witnessed the start of the training.
In addition, the statement stated that the head of the strategic plans section “appreciated the technical prowess, dedication and commitment of scientists who contributed towards this land mark achievement.”

The scientists and engineers were commended on their achievement by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan, according to the military. Pakistan successfully launched 400-kilometer (248-mile) practice launch of the Fateh-II guided missile system in May.
Pakistan also executed successful test launch of the medium-range Ababeel armament system in October 2023.
