India’s power couple cricketer Virat Kohli and his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma are gearing up to welcome the new bundle of joy in their family. As per the reports from Hindustan Times, the couple is expecting their second baby after Vamika.
What sources say
A HT source says, “Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage.” The couple is already blessed with a daughter, Vamika, who was born in January 2021.
Anushka remains low-key
It’s been a while since the 35-year-old was spotted or papped at an event in Mumbai. “It’s not a coincidence. He stays out of the public eye to avoid speculation,” the HT source added. Sharma also doesn’t travel with Kohli or attend his matches – which she does, by the way.
Another source says the couple were recently spotted at a maternity clinic in Mumbai: “They asked the paparazzi not to publish their pictures and promised to make an announcement soon.”
Virat Kohli- Anushka Sharma second child after Vamika
Ever since Vamika was born, they were very keen that she not show her face in public or post her pictures online. Kohli had earlier said, “We have decided not to expose our child on social media until he understands and makes his choice.”
Sharma finished shooting for the upcoming Chakda’Xpress some time back. He plays former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami in the film. Sharma, who married Kohli in an intimate ceremony in Italy in 2017, recently spoke about her journey to motherhood and how she managed to shoot for Chakda Xpress, her first project after the birth of her daughter Vamika.
“Motherhood has made me a much more confident person inside – I feel much more confident as a person. It’s a very real thing, caring for another person – and putting your child first in everything. I want to mention this – that this bond with your child is so important. I am so simple and I do everything for him and I enjoy it, so the bond is very special. I feel she is becoming a secure person and I am happy about that,” she told Grazia India.
