Mujeeb’s mishap in ODI World Cup 2023 match
The right-handed batter, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, only realized his missing protective gear upon reaching the crease. A teammate rushed to provide him with the essential protective gear – pocket underwear and abdomen guard.
The amusing incident occurred during the 35th over right after Rashid Khan was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Unfortunately, Mujeeb’s stint at the crease was short-lived, departing after just scoring one run.
Commentator Simon Doull emphasized the importance of protective gear for batters as they prepare to bat, underlining its significance in the game.
