The launch date for the eagerly awaited Nova Flip clamshell foldable in China was recently disclosed by Chinese smartphone manufactuer Huawei.
The Chinese tech company has released a teaser video along with a number of photos, giving us a good indication of what to anticipate when the new foldable phone is shown.
It appears that the Huawei Nova Flip has two rear cameras and a small, square-shaped external screen. There are four color variations available for it. New tablets and laptops from Huawei are anticipated to be released alongside the Nova Flip. Huawei has revealed on Weibo that the Nova Flip will go on sale in China on August 5 at 19:00 local time (4:30 p.m. IST). It is confirmed to come pre-installed with HarmonyOS, making it the first flip phone in the Nova line.

Huawei Nova Flip design leaked
Huawei unveiled the first glimpse of the Nova Flip smartphone in a teaser video and pictures that were uploaded on Chinese social media platforms. The flip-style foldable with a flat display and thin bezels is shown in the teaser video in green. Unlike the round design of the Pocket series smartphones, the foldable has an exterior screen that is square in shape. Jackson Yee, a member of the Chinese singing group TFBoys, is promoting the handset.
Two vertically oriented cameras are visible on the Huawei Nova Flip in the upper-left corner of the cover display. The front-facing shooter is housed in a hole punched out of the main display, and it’s likely that the power key doubles as a fingerprint scanner. It looks like the SIM slot is at the bottom. It has been verified that it comes in at least three finishes: white, pink, and black. It appears that the handset is made of metal.
On August 5, Huawei is anticipated to unveil the MateBook GT 14, MatePad Pro 12.2, and further products in addition to the Nova Flip. In comparison to Huawei’s Pocket series, the phone is probably going to be more reasonably priced.
