The actor told ANI “I felt so bad, I couldn’t see the entire video. I was ashamed. This happened in May but went viral now. But no one said a single word in sympathy. This is about woman’s safety. But you say things like we have selected 50% women for a panel.” She further said “Haathi ke Daant hai, everyday something or the other is happening with women. In UP we don’t get to know what happens there, Yogi Adityanath Ji never says. What is happening in the entire country with women? Such humiliation. It’s very saddening.”

Bachchan’s vehement reaction reflects the urgent need for social reforms and stricter laws that will effectively deter potential offenders. She underscores that these incidents are not isolated occurrences but indicative of a deeper problem in society that needs to be urgently addressed. By pushing for swift justice and engaging in consistent dialogue on women’s safety, she hopes to pave the way for a safer and more inclusive society for all.
