Lava O2 features, design revealed ahead of India launch

The company said on Friday that Lava O2 will soon be available in India in a post on X, formerly Twitter. The phone, which is anticipated to launch in the nation in the upcoming days or weeks, has also been hinted at by the corporation. A listing on Amazon has leaked some of the Lava O2’s primary characteristics ahead of the smartphone’s launch in India. The next smartphone from Lava will be sold on the e-commerce platform.

In the company’s X teaser, the Lava O2 is seen in a green color scheme with a twin rear camera arrangement in the upper left corner. It is demonstrated that the camera module alters in appearance when viewed from various perspectives. The rear panel has a little Lava logo in the lower left corner that appears to have a matte surface. The short video also reveals that the Lava O2 has a speaker grille and a USB Type-C port on its bottom edge.

Meanwhile, further information about the Lava O2’s specifications can be found on its official Amazon page. Lava O2 will have a 6.5-inch screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a hole-punch cutout to accommodate the selfie camera. The listing also mentions that the device will be available in a Majestic Purple colorway and that the back of the device will be composed of AG Glass.

The phone will be powered by an octa-core Unisoc T616 CPU with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, according to the Lava O2’s Amazon listing. It claims to have achieved a score of more than 250,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark test.

The phone will have an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera in addition to a 50-megapixel primary camera. As to the product page on the e-commerce website, it has a side mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. With a USB Type-C port, the 5,000mAh battery within the Lava O2 can be charged at up to 18W.
