India’s spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and his ability to bowl yorker are a treat to the eye to watch. In the third and final One Day International (ODI) against Australia at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot, Bumrah shocked Australia’s all-rounder Glenn Maxwell with his searing yorker.

Bumrah dismisses Maxwell

On the last ball of the 39th over, Bumrah went wide and dismissed a yorker at the stumps. Maxwell tried to hit the ball outside off but his shot was too late to go down and the ball damaged the off stump by then.

Despite receiving a rough treatment in his first spell, Bumrah came back with a slower delivery from Alex Carey before backing it up with a superb yorker to dispatch Maxwell for just five runs. Here’s how Bumrah created his magic on the last ball of Australia’s 39th innings.

India and Australia are playing the third and final ODI at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. India had already won the first two ODIs and led the series 2-0. Australia won the toss and captain Pat Cummins elected to bat first. Both sides made some changes as Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, and Tanveer Sangha were included in the Australian XI.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav also returned to the XI for India. Washington Sundar got the chance to replace R Ashwin.

Top performer from Australia

Australia started well as David Warner (56) and Mitchell Marsh (96) added 78 runs in the first innings. A quagmire continued after Warner fell to Prasidh Krishna and added 137 runs for the second wicket with Steve Smith. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Marsh for his fourth century and then Smith fell for 74 runs when Mohammed Siraj caught him LBW. Marnus Labuschagne tried to stitch partnerships with the middle order but Jasprit Bumrah removed Alex Carey for 11 runs.
