Greta Thunberg will be going on trial today
According to the reports Greta will be appearing before the court in Malmo at 9:30 GMT. According to reports the climate activists along with Greta Thunberg said to have block the port in the city of Malmo. The chargesheet states that Greta Thunberg “took part in a protest that disrupted traffic” and “refused to obey the police orders to leave the site.” On account of being guilty Greta will be charged with 6 months of imprisonment.
In June while protesting against the use of fossil fuels the environmentalist group “Ta Tillbaka framtiden” which means “Reclaim the future” blocked the entrance and exit of Malmo Harbour. In recent years Thunberg has become a symbol of youth activism and a prominent figure in the global climate movement.
