PM Modi to visit Kerala on March 15

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Kerala on March 15 to join the roadshow of BJP candidate Krishnakumar in Palakkad.

It will be his fourth visit to the southern state since January. However, this will mark the PM’s inaugural visit to Kerala following the announcement of the NDA candidates’ list for the state.

Notably, Palakkad holds significance as an ‘A’ class Lok Sabha constituency for the BJP. In Palakkad, the BJP secured victory in the Municipal Corporation elections. Krishnakumar, the party’s state general secretary, is widely recognized as a grassroots leader within the BJP.

Earlier, in the first week of January, PM Modi visited Thrissur and participated in a women’s convention organized by the BJP. Later in mid-January, he made a visit to the state to participate in various events, one of which was the wedding ceremony of actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi’s daughter.

In February, PM Modi paid a visit to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, where he inaugurated three major space infrastructure projects.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Modi unveiled and laid the foundation stones for numerous development initiatives totaling over Rs 34,700 crore throughout the state. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other BJP leaders, he visited the Manduri area of the district.

Modi inaugurated airports in Azamgarh, Shravasti, Chitrakoot, and Aligarh, along with a new terminal at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. Additionally, he inaugurated Maharaja Suhel Dev State University in Azamgarh, built at a cost of 108 crore.

He also launched and initiated the construction of five major National Highway (NH) projects, totaling Rs 11,500 crore. Additionally, he inaugurated more than 5,342 kilometers of roads built across 59 districts of Uttar Pradesh under the PM Gram Sadak Yojna, with a total value of Rs 3,700 crore.

The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 12 railway projects in Uttar Pradesh, collectively valued at Rs 8,200 crore. Additionally, he inaugurated three sewage projects under the Namami Ganga Yojna, with a combined worth of Rs 1,114 crore, situated in Prayagraj, Etawah, and Jaunpur districts of the state.
